Get to Know Rose Alvarez
Rose is a solutions-based business development professional who began her career in cannabis in 2020. Since then, she has thrived in multiple sub-sectors of cannabis, gaining valuable insight into the processes, needs, and pain points experienced by cannabis businesses, ancillary companies, and industry sales teams. Additionally, her previous involvement in the non-profit and education sectors has provided her with knowledge and experience required to operate within a highly-regulated industry like cannabis.
Rose entered the cannabis industry as a Senior Operations Specialist with Amuse, an e-commerce cannabis delivery business based in Los Angeles, California. Here, she excelled at supporting inter-departmental communication and processes, building and nurturing alliances and partnerships, and identifying and addressing growth opportunities.
Driven by her enthusiasm for the cannabis industry, Rose transitioned into a role in Business Development at S10 Labs, a custom vaporizer hardware manufacturer. In this position, she honed her skills in B2B sales, customer service, and networking while attending prominent industry events like CannaCon and MJBizCon. In 2023, she joined the Minority Cannabis Business Association, the largest national trade association serving the needs of minority cannabis businesses and their communities.
Rose has a wide variety of interests outside of work, including a love for science, nature, and art. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and immersing herself in live music, ranging from EDM to jazz. Rose also enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active, often accompanied by her friends, family, and loyal companion, OG the Pit Bull!
