CannaSpyglass Partners with Veterans Cannabis Group
We are honored to announce our partnership with the Veterans Cannabis Group, a non-profit advocacy organization led by veterans for veterans who use medical cannabis.
“We share many of the same values with the Veterans Cannabis Group,” said Adam Hutchinson, Founder of CannaSpyglass. “Partnering with them feels like a natural fit, and we’re excited to work together on raising awareness and advocating for better cannabis access for veterans.”
Why This Partnership Matters
Supporting veterans has been a core value of CannaSpyglass since our founding in the summer of 2021. This year, as part of our ongoing commitment, we’re excited to announce a donation to the Veterans Cannabis Group. This contribution will help the organization advocate for veterans' medical cannabis access, educate policymakers and the public about its benefits, and provide essential resources to veterans nationwide. In line with our commitment to social responsibility, CannaSpyglass also plans to continue making annual monetary donations to support veteran-focused initiatives, ensuring that our contributions have a lasting impact on the veteran community.
But our partnership goes beyond financial support. Together with Veterans Cannabis Group, we will collaborate on advocacy and awareness initiatives that directly support veterans. This includes supporting events, creating educational resources, and backing government initiatives aimed at improving veterans' access to medicinal cannabis.
“This partnership will be great for spreading awareness!” said Aaron Augustis, Founder and President of Veterans Cannabis Group. “Together, we can better educate veterans about the medicinal benefits of cannabis, particularly for treating combat-related PTSD. This is a community effort, and we rely on support from families, friends, and the cannabis industry to inform both veterans and legislators.”
Medical cannabis has proven to be a promising treatment for many conditions affecting veterans, such as PTSD, chronic pain, and anxiety. By offering a natural alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals, it provides veterans with a safer, more effective way to manage their symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.
About the Veterans Cannabis Group
Founded in 2016, the Veterans Cannabis Group advocates for the use of medicinal cannabis to treat combat-related PTSD and other service-connected disabilities among U.S. military veterans. The organization provides education, safe access to cannabis, information on VA resources and benefits, and opportunities for veterans to collaborate within the cannabis industry. Additionally, they work to strengthen relationships between veteran communities, local cannabis businesses, and government bodies.
“Together, we hope to explore legislative initiatives that require public support, with CannaSpyglass acting as our megaphone for outreach,” said Aaron Augustis. “This partnership will also aid in securing financial and PR sponsorships for hands-on projects that directly support veterans by advocating for beneficial laws and educating them about cannabis through the VA Health Care System. Currently, our primary challenges are grant writing and securing funding to launch our initiatives, but we are diligently working to pursue grants that are veteran-specific.”
Looking Ahead
“We are currently working on our Registry of Charitable Trusts with the Attorney General of California for our 501(c)3 to be in good standing,” said Aaron Augustis. “This is a big deal so that potential donors know we are a legitimate nonprofit and in good standing. Paper has been submitted to the AG; it takes months, but we are in it for the long haul!”
CannaSpyglass is proud to support the Veterans Cannabis Group and looks forward to continuing our contributions in the years to come. We remain dedicated to backing the impactful work of our non-profit partners within the cannabis industry and supporting charitable organizations in 2025 and beyond.
