In November 2024, Nebraska voters were presented with two medical marijuana initiatives, marking a pivotal moment for the state. Additionally, it would create the Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission to regulate the production and sale of medical marijuana in the state.

The Nebraskans backed both initiatives for the Medical Marijuana campaign, which had previously faced setbacks in its push for reform in past election cycles. But this time, it appeared the campaign had succeeded, as voters overwhelmingly supported both measures.
